Free Sample Industry Material Strong SmCo Magnet with HoleIntroduction
Asamarium-cobalt (SmCo)magnet, a type ofrare earManipulator th magnet, is a strongpermanent magnetmade of two basic elementssamariumandcobalt. Actually, samarium is substituted by a portion of otherrare earth elementsincludingpraseodymium, ceriumandgadolinium, and cobalt is substituted by a portion of othertransition metalsincludingiron, copperandzirconium. They are available in two "series&Pre-Press Equipment quot;, namely SmCo5magnets and Sm2Co17magnets.They were developed in the early 1960s based on work done by Karl Strnat and Alden Ray atWright-Patterson Air Force baseand theUniversity Watch Box of Dayton, respectively. In particular, Strnat and Ray developed the first formulation of SmCo5. They are generally ranked similarly in strengPlug th toneodymium magnets, but have higher temperature ratings and highercoercivity. They are brittle, and prone to cracking and chipping. Samarium-cobalt magnets have maximum energy products (BHmax) that range from 14megagauss-oersteds (MG·Oe)to 33 MG·Oe, that is approx. 112 kJ/m3to 264 kJ/m3; their theoretical limit is 34 MG·Oe, about 272 kJ/m3.
Sintered Samarium Cobalt magnets exhibit magneticanisotropy, meaning they can only be magnetized in the axis of their magnetic orientation. This is done by aligning the crystal structure of the material during the manufacturing process.
Samarium Cobalt Magnet is mainly made of Cobalt,Samarium and other rare earth elements. Its advantage is the maximum operating temperature up to 300ºC and its good corrosion and oxidation resistance. Samarium Cobalt Magnets, therefore do noHome Hardware t need to be coated. It is widely used in motors, meters, sensors, detectors, engine, rada and other high-tech fields.
