Electrical insulating laminated wood is widely used as insulation and supporting materials in transformer and instrument transformers. The dielectric constant of this material is close to transformer oil, so it makes a reasonable insulation match. And it can be used in transformer oil of 105 degree for long time.
People usually use this material to make upper and lower pressure pieces, limbs spacer blocks in oil immersed transfromer , and clamp s in instrument transformers.
It replace steel plate, insulating paper sheet, epoxy paper sheet, Epxot paperboard woven glass fabric lamination in these fields. Thus , the weight of transformer and the cost of materials are reduced. The raw materials of Electrical laminated wood is made of a thin venner of the birch, the color woood , the ashtree and other high quality wood by steaming, totary cutting and drying. It is coated with special insulating glue and made under high temperature and high pressure.
