Basic Configuration: 500L Mash/kettle + 500L lauter/whirlpool tank
A two vessel brew house as the basic configuration:
The brewhouse configuration is traditional Germany way, which helps better with infusion or decoction brewing.
A hot water tank preparing the hot water in advance to make sure there is enough water for mashing in and sparging etc, which is very important for continuous brewing. HLT is also used for hot water storage after wort cooling.
Heat exchanger spec will be defined as the actual brew data like wort/water inlet/outlet temperature etc. A double stage heat exchanger, with first stage with normal tap water for cooling, and hot water after 1st wort cooling can be transferred to hot water for new brew. The wort flow is regulated as the exact cooling process, the whole wort cooling can be achieved by just city water/cold water in winter time.
The second stage wort cooling uses glocol liquid from glycol tank, which is more used in summer season when the city water temp is higher.
Special note:The mash and lauter tun equipped with top agitator, with shaft connector to lower the twist force and extend the tanks using life. VFD controlled for stir is always necessary. Lauter tun with blade stir design makes sure the right lautering efficiency and good wort clearance, Grain spending is automatic, which is moved by the grain out plate of stir unit. The Lauter tun installed with side grain out door, with slope for easier grain out. A wort grant is configured and aligned with the lauter tun design avoiding vacuum effect between grain bed and tank bottom during the lautering process, so filter plate can be well protected. Sight glass installed with wort grant for better clearance checking. Wort grant with level sensor for better liquid flow control. Whirlpool combined with kettle tun, tangent wort inlet, flow speed of 3m/s. A possible "wort dam" can be installed with the tank for clear wort collection.
Fermentation
The fermenters are for both fermentation and storage, with normal cylinder-conical design. For both top and bottom fermentation. The tank can be used as unitank.
The cooling line design to be configured as the exact confirmed layout with client in later stage.
The portable pump is configured for beer transferring. It can be also used for CIP cleaning of the separate tanks.
All piping for cooling to be pre assembled and tested in our workshop, the glycol main inlet is connected directly with the glycol pump.
Further explanation on glycol line design concept: Solenoid valve for automatic temp control, with ball valve before and after the valve for glycol control when necessary, to make sure we have not glycol wasting when maintaining the glycol line, or keep cooling works on going when the solenoid has problems.ZYBREW cooling jacket design makes sure there is the best flow inside to make full use of the cooling energy.There is one check valve (one way valve) configured at jacket glycol outlet, to avoid any glycol back flowing when the auto valve for glycol control is stopped. The main coming and returning line equipped with pressure reducing device and bypass flow to avoid any problem cause by higher pressure when piping glycol in. All the glycol line configured with right polyurethane insulation to lower the cooling energy loss. The glycol line is well prepared with right connectors for adding more fermenters in the future.
