Step 1 Glass Surface Preparation
Precise cutting glass and Cutting error must less than 2mm to avoid to occur to bubbles, edge should be grinded. then cleaning the full glass surface and also the final washing with softened water to clean. After in front of process, the cleaned glass can be dried and put it into the bonded glass room to prepare assembly.
Step 2 Assembly
In the bonded glass room, it is cleaned & dust-free and operator should wear cleanly. And also, the temperature should be kept in 15-25ºC and the humidity is in 18-40%. Full pre-laminating process as following:
The first step, lay one piece of cleaned glass on device.
The second step, place the PVB film on the glass and guaranteed the edge of cutting PVB film is 2-5mm more than the each edges of glass. Note to avoid to touch glass with knife when cutting PVB film.
The third step, lay another one piece of cleaned glass on PVB film.
Step 3 De-airing and Edge Sealing
In order to get the well sealed edge, the between the PVB film and the two pieces of glass must expel any air. As usually, there are have two methods to de-airing as following:
1) Rolling De-airing
The pre-laminated glass to heat up to 25-40ºC on glass surface and put it into the first roll by the space of roll is 1mm less than the thickness of laminated glass with pressure in 0.2-0.5 MPa. And also enter into thermostatic container to heat up to 60-80ºC.Then through the second roll by the space of roll is 2mm less than the thickness of laminated glass with pressure in 0.3-0.5 MPa.After finishing to second roll, seal the four sides of laminated glass with clear tape to avoid to entering in air again.
2) Vacuum De-airing
Put the pre-laminated glass into a vacuum bag or vacuum rubber gasket, then use the cool or heat pumping to expel the air. Recommend: the decompression vacuum degree is exceed 650 mmHg. For the cool pumping temperature should be lower than 25ºC and keep it for 30-40mins; while in the period of heat pumping, the temperature should be 70-120 ºCand keep it for 30-60mins.
Step 4 In Autoclave
Put laminated glasses into autoclave and note the space of two pieces of laminated glass is exceed 5mm. Then sealing the autoclave door to raise the autoclave temperature up to 80ºC and then raising rate in 5ºC per minute after temperature 80ºC, and also the pressure in 0.06MPa per minute. When it up to 120-140ºC and 1.0-1.5MPa, keep the temperature and pressure for 30-60 minutes. After that, keep the pressure and lower the temperature to80ºC, at the same time, loose the pressure to the atmosphere pressure. Finishing the high pressure molding process, we can have the final laminated glass for usage.
