China Aluminum Alloy Strain Clamp

Strain clamps are used to fix wires and ground wires in overhead power lines. They are connected to strain insulators through connection fitting. They can also hang ground wires on tower arms. According to the structure and mounting method clamps can be divided into three types: bolt type, compression type and wedge type. The compression type can be further divided into hydraulic and explosive sub-types.
The meanings of letter and figures in the catalog are shown as follows.
N-strain clamp L-bolt type D-inverse mounting Y-hydraulic type B-explosive type
The figures mean the combination of suitable wires (or specified cross section area of steel stranded wires, where the numerator denotes aluminium section while the denominator, steel section).
Supplemental letters: A-jumper 0° B-jumper 30°
The radius of curvature of bolt type strain clamps is no less than eight times the diameter of the suitable wire. The percentage ratio of clamp grip to the pulling strength of wire is shown in the following table.

When using strain clamps for ACSR and AAC.it is recommended to wrap aluminum tapes or armoured rods around the wire for protection. The wrapping is counted in calculating the wire diameter
