China Benzoin for Powder Coating Production

1.Product Introduction:
Benzoin is a well established and reliable degassing agent for powder coatings. During the curing of a powder coating film, the benzoin melts and chemically scavenges oxygen and promotes dissolution of gases into the resin to minimize bubble formation in the coating film. Surface defects such as pinholes and other imperfections can be reduced or eliminated by incorporating 0.3 - 1.5% of benzoin into the powder coating formulation along with the other raw materials. As with anyraw material, laboratory evaluation is required for each formulation to determine the best processing method and the optimum concentration of the additive.

Description:
Benzoin is 2-hydroxy-2-phenylacetophenone , it is an organic compound . It is usual y used in chemical
analysis as well as a disinfector. When applied in powder coatings, it is an effective degassing agent.

Application:
1. Benzoin can eliminate the air bubble in the powder coating when baking. 2. Benzoin can be applied in all the powder coatings.
3. Dosage is between 0.3~0.8% based on the total powder.
4. It can be added together with other material, then extruding.
5. The dosage should not be large otherwise, it will make yellowing.

Available in polyethylene-lined, multi-ply paper bags. N.W.: 25KGS/Bag.

Storage and handling:
Keep in the cool and dry place, for away from fire, washing with water after application.
