Introduction:
As an insecticide, chlorpyrifos is registered only for agricultural use (and ant and roach baits for domestic use in concentrations not exceeding 0.5%), where it is "one of the most widely used organophosphate insecticides, " according to the EPA. The crops with the most intense chlorpyrifos use are cotton, corn, almonds, and fruit trees including oranges and apples.

12. Fire and Explosion Hazard:
If involved in a fire the product may emit potentially harmful gases. Fire
fighters should wear appropriate breathing apparatus and all non essential personal should be kept down wind.

14. Special firefighting procedures:
Firefighters should be equipped with
self-contained breathing apparatus and
turnout gear. Care should be taken to
decontaminate firefighters and
