Poul M. Volther (1923-2001) belonged to a generation of architects with solid roots in the very best of craft. As an exponent to functionalism he was against fads and aesthetic smartness and he loved the simple manufacture of fine materials. Poul M. Volther was a trained cabinet-maker and later he graduated from The School of Arts and Crafts.

The Corona Chair was designed by Poul M. Volther and received a lot of acclaim when it was first introduced in 1964.
The Corona Chair features a spectacular ergonomic design that stands by itself. The chair itself is very comfortable since the elliptical shapes of the backrest and the seat, conform to the natural shape of the human body. This inspired reproduction comes in high polished stainless steel frame and is upholstered in top grain Italian leather.
