Cost-Effective And Reliable Paint Thickness Tester For Car Dealers
Introductions
This gauge is ultra low-cost coating thickness gauge and can mainly be used to
measure car's paint coating thickness. It is used for non-destructive coating
thickness measurement of non-magnetic coatings on steel and insulating
coatings on non-ferrous metals.

Replacing the Battery
Place the gauge upside down on a suitable surface, raise the lid of the
compartment, remove the battery, insert new battery according to the
positive and negative poles and close the lid.
Measurement Step
Step 1. Prepare the sample to be measured.
Step 2. Press POWER key to power on, and keep probe away from any metal.
Step 3. Reference to the "Zero Calibration" if need to calibrate the gauge.
Step 4. Start measuring. Place the probe on the sample vertically and rapidly,
and after one beep, raise the probe rapidly. Readings will be display on LCD.
Step 5. Do next measurement according to step 4.
Step 6. Press POWER key to power off. If not any operations within 2 min.,
the gauge will power off automatically.
Zero Calibration
a. Press and hold "ZERO" until hearing "beep...beep beep...". The LCD
will flash "ZERO" symbol.
b. Place the probe on uncoated sample and raise it after one beep.
c. Repeat step b several times to obtain mean value.
d. Finished. Press "ZERO" to exit calibration mode.
Unit
Press the UNIT key to select the shown unit(mm or mils) for the readings.
Probe Mode
Press the MODE to select the probe mode(Including Fe and NFe).
In Fe, the probe can only test on ferrous substrate.
In NFe, the probe can only test on non-ferrous substrate.
Auto Power off
The device will power off automatically within 2 min when there are not any
operations. Before power off automatically, the clock sign on LCD will flash.
