Application
GT-C11A Elmendorf Tearing Strength Tester is developed by the requirement of the standers such as ASTM D1424.
This elmendorf tear tester is designed for tearing resistance of textile, non-woven fabric, paper, paper board, thin film, ventilation tape, metal sheet material and etc.
Working principle
Put the hammer ascend to a certain height, its fixed potential energy. Pneumatic holder clamping sample, by cutting knife cut a mouth. Release the hammer, hammer free lap, potential energy tears sample. The control system gets the kinetic energy of the sample after tearing, and the law of conservation of energy calculates consumed energy of the torn sample, and through the P = FS formula get the force required of the torn sample.
