Product information
Presently, Chinese people normally use well-type furnace to make magnesium by ferrosilicon process reduction, its heat source mainly comes from external heated coal, and gas or electricity. The furnace shell transfers heat to magnesium in the furnace, to melt and refine. Refining pot is normally welded by Austenitic refractory steel, centrifugal casting barrel, and common cast head. Since these materials have poor heat conductivity, and poor weldability, unavoidable casting defects, many big problems happen normally, such as poor heat efficiency, short lifetime of furnace, low production efficiency, much waste of fuel, poor product's quality, etc. The refining furnace made by clad steel plates can improve the working lifetime of furnace. In 2002, national output of magnesium has exceeded 400,000 tons; the production plants are concentrated in Shanxi province and its neighboring provinces. According to
present lifetime of furnace, Henan province, Neimenggu province, Ningxia province need 2,000 pieces of refining furnace every year. So, we can calculate that they need 2,000 tons of stainless steel-steel clad metals every year.

metal dynamic clad technology (explosion welding or explosion cladding technology) uses high energy from explosive detonation to produce a metallurgical weld between metal plates. It can produce high voltage pulse energy, pushing cladder collide with backer at a specific velocity and impact angle.
