Features:
1.Stable and reasonable price:
The price of graphite material only costs 15% of a cooper electrode with the same volume electrode. At present, graphite has come a hot material for EDM application. Compared withe graphite material, its cost is lower and more stable.
2.Easier cutting
Graphite has the excellent mechanical machining properties. The mechanical machining speed of graphite electrode is 2-3 times more than cooper electrode. Meanwhile, graphite processing does not need to worry about burr problem.
3.Lower thermal expansion coefficient
The melting point of cooper is 1080ºC and graphite is 3650ºC. The CTE of graphite is only 1/30 of cooper. It is very stable even at very high temperature. Even in the processing of platinum electrode, the graphite electrode has obvious advantages.
4.Lighter weight and lower density
The density of graphite is usually 1.7-1.9g/cm3 (the density of cooper is 4-5 times of graphite). Compared with cooper electrode, the graphite electrode will induce the mechanical load during this process and is more suitable for the application of large mold.
5.Excellent cutting and machining
Graphite has a low volume design compared to metallic materials. It has excellent machining performance.
6.Super adhesive effect
The crushed stone ink can be bonded with a binder,which can save the time and material costs.
7.Excellent resistivity
Resistivity (ER) determines the resistanceh of the flow of current to the material. Lower resistivity means better conductivity.
