The GCS-type low-voltage withdrawable switchgear (hereinafter referred to as the "switchgear")is a low-voltage withdrawable switchgear that is designed and developed by the joint design team, which is formed by the former Ministry of Power Industry and the Ministry of Machine-Building Industry, in accordance with the requirements of competent authorities of industry, power users and design institutes. It is in line with national conditions, and has the advantage of high technical performance indexes. The switchgear is applicable to the power distribution system in power plants, petrochemical industry, metallurgy, textile, high-rise building and other industries. In places like large-scale power plants, petrochemical industry and other places that is high-level automated and requires computer interface, it is used as a distribution unit in a three-phase AC power generation system or power supply system in which the equency is 50(60) Hz, the rated operational voltage is 380V (400V), (660) V, and the rated current is 4000A and below, or as a complete set of low-voltage power distribution unit for the centralized control of the motor and reactive power compensation.

1)Cabinet Body

These dimensions of the body can be used for power receiving, feed, control and reactive power compensation, etc.
The skeleton is the load-bearing structure of the switchgear. Regardless of which kind of switchgear is, the skeleton is assembled by connecting C-shaped steel or reinforced C-shaped steel by connecting pieces with self-tapping screws. The C- shaped steel or reinforced C-shaped steel are made from 8MF-type open shape steel on which both sides haveΦ9.2mm mounting holes with modulus of 20mm (E - 20mm) and 100mm or Φ9.2mm mounting holes with modulus of 20mm (E = 20mm). The skeleton is precise and stable in dimensions, light in weight high in strength, easy to install and high efficiency in assembly. The surface treatment of the door, side plates, cover plates and body are used epoxy powder electrostatic spraying, which features uniform coating and strong adhesion. The partitions of the functional units of the switchgear and other installation parts are applied by galvanizing inactivation surface treatment, thus ensuring the continuity of the protection of the conductor by the entire switchgear; therefore, the switchgear has a good protection performance.
Each switchgear is made entirely of standardized and typical modules which are all in line with the national standards and design requirements such as GB /T20641 and GB7251. The modules can be combined in various ways to meet a wide variety of requirements.
2)Space Layout
The withdrawable cabinet frame of the switchgear is isolated in accordance with the corresponding provisions of GB7251. The internal horizontal bus, vertical bus, functional units and inlet and outlet parts of the device are separated in the form of compartments. The compartments are separated by steel plates or flame-retardant plastic plates. The compartment can prevent touching the live parts in the area nearby, thus limiting the scope of the accident. Its protection grade can reach IPXXB or IP20.
