This is the Trailer D-Ring Tie Down. It has a bolt-on installation. No hardware is included, This is made from a nice solid steel construction. The way it would work is you would just place the D-ring underneath the mounting plate.
That hump in there holds that perfectly, and then you just need to mount it down. You can see how when the hook's not in use, you can move it to either side to lay it flush, so it's not going to take up much space when it's not in use. Then when you are ready to use it, you just pull it up and make your connection and tighten down your straps or your rope or whatever it is that you're using. To go over some dimensions, we'll start with the mounting plate. This mounting plate is going to measure 3-1/8 inches by 1-13/16 inches. It does have two pre-drilled bolt holes for an easy bolt-on installation. Those holes are going to measure 7/16 inch, so any bolt size less than that would work perfect for this application.
The distance from the center of one hole to the center of the other is going to measure right at 2 inches. Now we'll take a look at our D-ring. This is going to give us an overall length or height of 3-1/2 inches and a width of 3-3/8 inches. Here on the inside, it's going to measure 2-3/8 by 2-1/2 inches. This is going to give us a capacity of 2,750 pounds of a working load limit and 11,000 pound limit of minimum breaking strength.
