Why Used Transformer Oil Be Purified?
Transformer oil is in an environment that leads to degradation of its desired properties. Even with a proactive maintenance program, it degrades over a period of time. When in service, oil can be contaminated by particles, water, gases and chemical products.Dissolved gasses, water, particles and other harmful ingredients in transformer oil can cause arcing, corona discharges, and overheating reducing the electrical efficiency and lifetime of the transformer. And it is dangerous for daily maintenance. Likewise, water contamination at levels as low as 30 ppm (parts per million) can adversely affect the insulating strength of the oil. With ever-increasing standards for energy efficiency of power distribution transformers, the need to effectively degas will become even more important in the future.particles contamination will also affect the function of insulating oil. So we need to clean?used transformer oil.and cut down oil expenses.With correct maintenance, transformers which are designed to achieve an expected life of 40 years can be achieved.Contaminants in transformer oil:
Solid particles like rust scales, dust and fibres
Generation of carbon particles due to ageing of switchgear
Oil absorbs moisture resulting in free and dissolved water
Absorption of air
Aging fluids produce absorbed gases, causing equipment failure and arc suppression in switchgear
Sludge formation
Increase in acidity level
Chemical products are caused by oxidation, as well as cross contamination of other products.
FUOOTECH Series ZYD-T Double-stage High Vacuum Transformer Oil Purification Machine, comparing single stage vacuum oil purifier, owns a rotary vane vacuum pump and one more booster roots pump vacuum system which can speed up evacuation much faster and higher.
It has been specially designed for on/off site use to completely purify insulating oils in energized or de-energized transformers even when transformer power both below and above 110KV and altitude over 500 meters, as well as purify mutual inductor oil, switch oil and so on.
ZYD-T Series Transformer Oil Purification Machine using advanced T-Shape Vacuum Chamber which has much larger evaporation area than normal vertical vacuum chamber, so it can degas and dehydration much faster with higher efficiency.
