Suspension clamps are used in overhead power lines. Suspension clamps and connection fitting work together to hang wires and ground wires on insulators or hang ground wires on link fitting to tower arms or substation. The clamps are made of malleable iron or aluminum alloy.
The meanings of letter and figures in the catalog are shown as follows.
X-suspension clamp G-fixedS-double clamp U-U bolt
J-strengthened H-aluminum alloy F-corona control K-under axle type
T-envelope type A- with a socket-clevisB-with U clevis X-hang-down type
The suspension angle of suspension clamps is no less than 25 degree;the radius of curvature is no less than 8 times the diameter; and the percentage ratio of the grip on different kinds of wires to the pulling strength is no less than the figures in the following table.

When using suspension clamps for AAC and ACSR, it is recommended to wrap aluminum tapes or armoured rods around the wire as a protection. In this case, the wrapping is counted in calculating wire diameters.
