Diaphragm jig is divided into three types, upper pulsating diaphragm jig, below pulsating cone diaphragm jig and side action diaphragm jig. Diaphragm jig is fixed screen type. It is available in separating metallic ores, such as tungsten ore and placer gold ore, iron ore as well as tin ore, which not only can be separated fine materials, but coarse also. The largest feed size is 6-8mm but it can be 12mm in few cases.

Diaphragm jig is mainly composed of jig box, drive device, water distribution, diaphragm and bibcock. There are two jig hutches, each jig hutch divided into jig area and diaphragm area by clapboard. The jigging process caused by the rubber diaphragm up and down to make medium (water) moving. The triangle belt drives big belt pulley by electromotor causes the connecting rod of eccentric gear and rocker move up and down. The rubber diaphragm which connect with the connecting rod moves up and down also. After the feed ores are sent to jig hutch, the ore separated to different layers in the medium by the pulsation of diaphragm. The ore heavy but fine through interstices of the bed layer and holes of the sieve and sink to the jig hutch, the ore light but coarse washed to the discharge end by medium. Because the back jig hutch is lower 50mm than front jig hutch, the light ore from the front jig hutch overflows to the back jig hutch to separate again. If needed, the place of end plate can be adjusted to control the discharge amount. The concentrate in tank will be discharged by discharge tube regularly.

based on the size of ore, we can change the stroke of connecting rod and choose different stroke to get the best jigging effect.
