China HPMC for Improving The Dispersion of Cement Mortar

HPMC is a water-soluble polymer compound, also known as water-soluble resin or water-soluble polymer. It is a hydrophilic polymer material that increases the consistency of the mixture by increasing the viscosity of the mixed water . Water can dissolve to form a solution or dispersion.

Experiments show that when the amount of naphthalene-based superplasticizer is increased, the addition of superplasticizer will reduce the dispersibility of fresh cement mortar. This is because the naphthalene-based superplasticizer is a surfactant. When the water reducing agent is added to the mortar, the water redcing agent is oriented on the surface of the cement particles so that the surface of the cement particles has the same charge, and the electric repulsion causes the cement particles to form. The flocculation structure is disassembled, and the water in the structure is released, causing part of the loss of cement. At the same time, it was found that as the HPMC content increases, the dispersion resistance of cement mortar becomes better and better.
