Introduction
The diaphragm filter press is composed of a diaphragm plate and a vane filter plate to form a filter chamber. The slurry is fed into the filter chamber under the pressure of the feed pump, and the solid and liquid in the slurry are separated by a filter medium (filter cloth). After the solid forms a cake in the slurry, air is introduced into the separator, and the solid of the filter chamber is sufficiently pressed to reduce the water content.

The inner part of membrane plates are hollow, which are made and pressed by high pressure and high temperature machines. The feature of membrane filter press are second compression. When the primary compression is over, the air will be feed in through the middle hole of the plates, which make each hollow plates expand, thus the material between the plates would be second compressed. And the air also helps the liquid oil fall out to drain.
