The steel wire Skeleton plastic(polythlene) composite pipe is a new environment friendly pipe in which high strength steel wire in a winding shape is used as skeleton and higl density polyethylene is used as the substrate for internal and extermal layers.Thermosol is used to bond them together while the layers are continuously extruded and shaped.Suc pipe maintains good pressure withstanding of steel pipe while additionally has the good hyglenic nature of plastic pipe and its strong points of easy laying,reliability in tenchnolog and long service life.Hence it can be widely used in municipal water supply-drainag system,fire protection systems in chemical industry,petroleum industry,medicine industry,etc.in large quantity.

1. Corrosion resistance to wide range of corrosive media.

3. Good sealing. Electric hot melting is used for jointing the pipes and pipe fttings are fused together, forming a no-leaking
joint.
4. High resistance to underground movement and loading at pipe end. Stress releasing characteristics of polyethylene can
effectively release the intemal stress of the pipe through deformation and thus the pipe has sufficient resistance to pipe end
stress and no expensive way of anchoring is necessary for pipe laying.
5. Good resistance to rapid crack propagation(RCP) and slow crack growing(SCG).
6. Good hydaulic property. Because the pipe's inner wall is smooth, resistance to medium flow is low and capacity of delivery is
higher than conventional pipe by 30%.

Principle of connection

Two ways of jointing can be used for jointing the steel wire Skeleton plastic(polyethylene) composite pipes:electro fushing

connection and flange connection. Eectro fushing connection Is carried out in the following way: the composite pipe is Inserted in the electro hot-melt pipe fitting; electric current is fed to the electric heating element embedded in the internal surface layer of the pipe fitting so that the intemasl surface layer of the pipe fitting is heated into a melt that will fill the gap between the pipe and the pipe fitting until a melt is also created round the pipe. With the two melts fused together and cooled down into shape, the pipe and the pipe fitting are jointed closely together into an entirety.

Characteristics of pipe connection

1. Electro-fushing is easy and fast in operation;the pipes and pipe fittings of the whole pipeline can be first preliminarily
joined together by inserting the pipes in the pipe fittings, then are welded all together in a single operation.
2 Welds are reliable . As compared with other ways of welding , strength and sealing are better .
3. This method is sultable for jointing between pipe and pipe fitting made of HDPE of different type and different melt fluidity.
