1. How kneading machine works:
The Kneading chamber of the Kneading machine consists of two U shape containers, which are made of carbon steel (or named mild steel) or stainless steel(SUS304, SUS321, SUS316L) and form a saddle at the intersection. Sometimes the kneading machine has jacket for heating or cooling.
The mixing elements are two pieces of Z type blades. They contrarily rotate inward at different speeds in the trough.
The extrusion screw is located in the saddle section and runs in the cylindrical trough. It is designed to handle difficult to discharge products as well as high viscosity pastes. During mixing, the extrusion screw runs in a reverse direction which imparts a third mixing action on the product, increasing mixing efficiency.
The mixing action is a combination of bulk movements, for example, shearing, kneading, stretching, squeezing against blades, saddle and side walls. Continually new layers of material are compressed and folded over one another and are subjected to shearing forces. New surfaces are formed and the components can penetrate.
