MgF2 (Magnesium Fluoride) is positive uniaxial crystal with a very high optical transmittance from the vacuum UV to IR. It also has a large resistance to mechanical and thermal shock, to optical radiation, and is chemically stable, making it a very useful materials for UV and IR optics.
we also can offers -cut (or [100] cut) MgF2 crystals for the maximum birefringence. -cut (or cut along the optical axis) with minimum birefringence, or random-cut (cut along a random axis) MgF2 windows are also available.

Note: Excimer-grade CaF2 and MgF2 substrates are available for laser cavity optics and are available with transmittance traces for an additional charge.
