Operation principle
Hydrocyclone separation depend on centrifugal sedimentation. After the separation of two phase or three-phase mixture under certain pressure from the inlet around the column of hydrocyclone to cut into hydrocyclone, it will develop a strong rotary shear turbulence like a 3D oval, due to the size differences(density contrast) between coarse particles and fine particles, With the different size of centrifugal force, centripetal force, fluid traction, by centrifugal sedimentation, most coarse particles exit through the underflow mouth of hydrocyclone, while most fine particles discharge through the overflow mouth, and therefore to achieve the purpose of isolation and fractionation.
