HPMC is a non-ionic cellulose ether produced by a series of chemical processes using natural polymer materials as raw materials. It is a water-soluble polymer compound, also known as water-soluble resin or water-soluble polymer. It is a hydrophilic polymer material that increases the consistency of the mixture by increasing the viscosity of the mixed water. Can be dissolved to form a solution or dispersion. It is mainly used as a dispersant in the production of PVC. HPMC is also a non-ionic cellulose ether, not a polyelectrolyte, so it is relatively stable in aqueous solution in the presence of metal salts or organic electrolytes, but excessive addition of electrolyte can cause gelation and precipitation.
