1. Purpose:

a) Develop fingerprints on non-porous, smooth surface. Suitable for both dark and light-colored surface. Suitable for both horizontal and vertical surfaces.

b) In general, the fingerprint is a mixture of grease and sweat. For greasy prints, powders have better results; for sweat prints, superglue has better results.

2. Structure:

The container for powders with ceramic balls consists of two layers inside, the upper part contains the ceramic balls and the bottom part contains powders. Between them is the interlayer with small holes, from which the powders can pass through and the ceramic balls cannot. Shake the container up and down, the powders will enter the upper part and then adhere to the ceramic balls. Tap the container and the excessive powders will fall back to the bottom part. Such a structure ensures that an appropriate amount of powders adhere to the ceramic balls.

3. Packing:

1 container of copper metallic powders with ceramic balls and 1 container of aluminium metallic powders with ceramic balls, packed into a transparent plastic box. If the container cap is loose, the plastic box can protect the investigation kit against the powder contamination.

4. Method:

Shake the container up and down, the powders will enter the upper part through the interlayer and then adhere to the ceramic balls. Tap the container, the excessive powders will fall back to the bottom part, ensuring that an appropriate amount of powders adhere to the ceramic balls. Take off the cap, put a fiberglass brush, feather brush or squirrel hair brush into the container, sweep the balls, make the brush attract an appropriate amount of powders, and then sweep the latent fingerprints with then brush.

5. Advantage:

The ceramic balls can ensure that only an appropriate amount of powders is taken evenly by the brush, which can be used to sweep the fingerprints directly. No need to tap the brush to make the powders distribute evenly, which greatly reduces the flying of powders.
