1. Purpose:

Dip fluorescent powders to sweep and develop latent fingerprint.

1. Description:

The fluorescent powders are less adhesive to fingerprints than copper metallic powders andaluminium metallic powders. If fluorescent powders are taken with the squirrel hair sweep to develop latent fingerprint, the squirrel hair will get hard and cause scratch to the ridge lines. The feather brush is softer than the squirrel hair brush, so dipping fluorescent powders with the feather brush to develop latent fingerprint can get better results.

3. Method:

Dip enough fluorescent powders with the feather brush. Sweeping a certain area one or two times will be sufficient to uncover latent fingerprints. Repeated sweep may damage the ridge line, because the adhesion of the fluorescent powders is small.
