Product introduction
The melt flow rate instrument is also called the melt index instrument for the determination of the melt flow rate MFR value of various plastic and resin in the viscous flow state.
It is applicable to engineering plastics such as polycarbonate, polysulfone, fluoroplastics, nylon and other engineering plastics with high melting temperature.
It also applies to polyethylene (PE), polystyrene (PS), polypropylene (PP) and ABS resin. Polyvinyl formaldehyde (POM), polycarbonate (PC) resins and other low melting temperature plastic tests.
Main uses
The melt flow rate meter is used to determine the melt mass flow rate (MFR), melt volume flow rate (MVR) and melt density of the thermoplastic resin.
It is not only applicable to polycarbonate, nylon, fluoroplastics, polysulfone and other engineering plastics with high melting temperature, but also for polyethylene, polystyrene, polypropylene,
ABS tree. The test of low melting temperature, such as fat and polyformaldehyde resin, is widely used in plastic materials, products, petrochemical and other industries as well as related universities, scientific research units and commodity inspection departments.
Working principle
The melt flow rate meter refers to the quality or volume of the thermoplastic that passes through the standard die every 10 minutes at a certain temperature and load. This instrument can only be used for the determination of melt flow rate (MFR) in mass method, and its numerical value can characterize the viscous flow characteristics of thermoplastics in molten state.
