Rotating racking arms are an integral part of any fermentation system involving conical fermenters or brite tanks. Typically found in the bottom cone of a cylindroconical fermentation tank, the racking arm is rotated slowly downward drawing off clear liquid until the fine sediment of yeast begins to trickle through. Our bestseller is the 60 degree arm, but we have 90 degree racking arms available for smaller tanks where you can insert the elbow.
An essential part of any fermentation process that involves conical-bottom fermenters or brite tanks, our rotating racking arm is not like the others. A pivoting inner tube rotates separately from the tri-clamp connecting outer fitting, ensuring that there are no leaks. Ordinarily the arm is installed in the bottom cone of the tank and is rotated gradually downward to pull out clear liquid until the yeast residue starts to seep through. The unique design of our racking arm is bit of a game changer.

Stainless Steel 1.5" Tri-Clover Rotating Racking Arm is the perfect way to drain beer from your conical fermenter without leaving good beer behind!
If you measure from the tank TC flange, it has a 6" horizontal reach and then the arm bends 90 degree down to 4" from the center of the Instalation holeOverall Length (OAL): 8"Outer TC Flange to Inner TC Flange: 1.75"Inside Diameter of Flange (ID) : 0.625"Outside Diameter (OD) of Flange : 1.984"


Stop leaving clean, perfectly good, wine in your tank and always drain from the perfect height with our tri-clamp style rotating racking arms. Remove your existing tri-clover butterfly valve and place this rotating racking arm between the tank and your valve. When it is time to rack off slightly loosen the clamp nearest the tank and use the built in handle to rotate to just above the lees level.
We recommend using a white rotating gasket and placing it between the welded in tank fitting and this rotating arm. Because the micro finish is hard and slippery it allows the rotating arm to rotate in place while still maintaining a seal. A standard black EPDM gasket is placed between the rotating arm and the butterfly valve and is always kept completely tightened.
The length of the arm after the elbow is about 8" allowing you to draw from 8" above or below the valve level. The length before the elbow is about 10" with a diameter of 1".
Manufactured from 304-type stainless steel with a polished finish. 1.5" tri-clover connection. You will need (2) 1.5" tri-clover clamps, (1) 1.5" Rotatable gasket, (1) 1.5" EPDM gasket, a 1.5" tri-clover butterfly valve, and of course a tank full of wine or beer with a tri-clover ferrule (fitting) welded on!
