Product DescriptionThe swing chair is woven by hand with environment-friendly natural rattan on strong and sturdy wrought-iron standing base. They usually come with soft cushions as per our photos. The cushions are usually replaceable and washable.
What’s the difference between real and PE rattan Swing?
Rattan is a close relative of the palm tree. It is a type of a vine that rapidly grows in the jungles of South Eastern region. It grows in the shape of a pole, and its diameter varies between one to three inches. Rattan is one of the strongest woods and possesses the ability to grow up high as hundred feet. It’s a natural material so it’s preferred for indoors only and not suitable to be exposed to sunlight or rain for a long period.
PE rattan is a synthetic material and it’s also known as poly rattan, PVC/PE rattan or artificial rattan. It’s soft and flexible and less easy to get broken compared to hardness of real rattan. It’s not easy to fade when exposed to sunlight. Hence, it can be used indoors as well as outdoors.
Real Rattan looks more natural and it’s more expensive at cost and requires higher craft technique to get it woven while PE rattan costs less and it’s more convenient for import as well. There are mainly two colours: white and coffee.
