The round plate and shell heat exchanger consists of a round plate assembly that pressure a herringbone pattern into eacg plate. The medium enters the gap between plates through the port. The hotter medium transfers heat to the cooler medium in the opposite direction through the flow plate, without mixing two media achieves heat transfer.
The "herringbone" pattern ensures tubulence within the effective heat transfer aea and produces metal contact between plates for optimum differential pressure.
