Tilmicosin is a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic for animals. It has a strong effect on mycoplasma, and its antibacterial effect is similar to Tylosin. The sensitive gram-positive bacteria include Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), pneumococcus, streptococcus, Bacillus anthracis, Erysipelas, Listeria, Clostridium putrefaction, Clostridium emphysema, etc. Sensitive gram-negative bacteria include Haemophilus, meningococcus, and Pasteurella. The activity of Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella and Mycoplasma of livestock and poultry is stronger than Tylosin. 95% of Pasteurella hemolyticus strains are sensitive to this product.
Pharmacokinetics
It is quickly absorbed after oral administration, characterized by strong tissue penetration and large volume of distribution (greater than 2 L/kg). The concentration in the lung is high, the elimination half-life can reach 1 to 2 days, and the effective blood concentration is maintained for a long time.
Medicine interactions
1. The combination of this product and adrenaline can increase the death of pigs.
2. It has the same target of action as other macrolides and lincosamides, so it should not be used at the same time.
3. Combined use with β-lactams shows antagonism.

Macrolide antibiotics. It is used to treat swine pleuropneumonia Actinobacillus, Pasteurella and Mycoplasma infections.
Usage and Dosage
based on this product. Mixed feeding: 1 000 to 2 000 g for pigs per 1,000 kg of feed. Continuous use for 15 days.
Adverse reactions
1. The toxic effect of this product on animals is mainly the cardiovascular system, which can cause tachycardia and weakened contractility.
2. After oral administration of animals, dose-dependent gastrointestinal disorders such as vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain often occur.
Precautions
Tilmicosin is irritating to the eyes and can cause allergic reactions. Avoid direct contact.
