The D-TECTRON DT511 series intelligent plug-in smoke detectors is ideal for application where Freeze trouble
slow-burning or smoldering fires are likely.
Model DT511 is a 2-wire photoelectric smoke detector that uses unique patented design optical
sensing chamber. The detector is designed to provide reliable protection for open area and to be
used with compatible UL listed control panels only.

Analog Intelligence
D-TECTRON detectors are equipped with both drift compensation
technology to reduce the likelihood of nuisance alarms and smoothing algorithms. The specific
technology minimize both short- term and long-term causes of nuisance alarms, such as RF
interference and dust accumulation.

Installation and Wiring
The DT511 is intelligent Smoke Detector used with the DT500/DT501 Detector base, is a
UL listed device according to UL 268 for Fire Protective Signaling Systems for indoor use.
It Features a slim design which combines visual appeal with a high standard of reliability. It
responds quickly and dependably to a broad range of fires. The detector has a Microcontroller
Unit (MCU), performing comprehensive self diagnostic tests and result analysis. The DT511 is
intelligent, addressable, and takes one address on the Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) of the fire
alarm control panel.
NOTICE: The installation manual shall be left with the owner/user of this equipment.
importANT: This detector must be tested and maintained regularly following NFPA 72
requirements. At a minimum, cleaning should be performed annually.
