Installation Instructions

Careful installation, adequate cross sections for the power feed and outlet cables and adherence to the recommended lubricating intervals are essential for reliable operation and along service life of the current transmission devices.

Installation on the shaft

1. The shaft should be atolerance and have asurface finish comparable with aball bearing seat.

2. Before installation, removing the adapter sleeve, cleaning the shaft and all components and applying athin film of oil.

3. The grooved nut must be tightened manually using asickle spIndustrial Robot anner to DIN 1810 of appropriate size and then secured using the locking plate.

Notices

1. Flexible cables or copper strip should be used.

2. Torsion of the casing should be prevented by the use of fastened on the right and the left with aplay of approx.2mm to the terminal lug.

3. No radial or axial load must be applied to the casing.(when dismantling, still doing this)

Lubrication

Before putting the devices into operation, re-grease it in an idle condition until grease emerges from the O-ring seal.

1. P34 special grease should be used exclusively for re-greasing to ensure perfect functioning and the maximum service life.

2. The devices have an R1/8" greasing point. If necessary, apipe should be installed and connected to the device using Connector & Terminals ahouse. The overaBall Screw ll length should not exceed 1.5m.

3. The device should be re-greased after amaximum of 30,000 rotations,or after 500operating hours, whichever is the earlier.

Notices

1. The current transmission devices used either in applications where agreasing requirement only arises after anumber of months or in special applications such as 24h operation,a rotation speed of more than 5rmp.

2. The use of an electronically controlled grease cup is recommended.
