Zinc bromide is mainly for operational fluids for offshore oil wells, such as well finishing liquid, well repair liquid, stationary liquid etc. Zinc Bromide 70% clear brine, by itself or with other bromide or chloride salts, is used in oil and gas well completions and workover operations. It is primarily used where high density (up to 21 lb/ US gallon) is required and/or when other multivalent ion will cause precipitation of Carbonates and/or Sulphate salts thus impairing oil/gas production.
