Stevia is a plant from the sunflower family that is native to Paraguay. Today its cultivation has spread to other regions of the world, including China, Canada and some parts of Europe. Presently, the leaves of stevia are well-known for its sweet taste than can be 200-300 times sweeter than sugar, while with very low calories.
