AIR ConTENT METER
STANDARD:EN 1350-7,BS 1881-106,ASTM C231
The Meter is the industry's most popular kit for testingentrained air.Whether going into the ready mix truckor coming down the chute, it gives fast results. Alwaysaccurate. The kit contains everything needed to performthe test and - very importantly - to keep the unit incalibration. It measures the air content in fresh mix concrete. The testprocedure equalizes a known volume of air in the pressurechamber, with the unknown value of entrained air in theconcrete-filled base. The amount of air entrained is thenread on the meter's gauge as the direct percentage (to thenearest 0.1%) of air entrained in the concrete. The test isbased on Boyle's law. Also known as "Type B". See fullInstructions or refer to ASTM.This modern meter utilizes the principle of Boyle's Law andconsists of a fl anged cylindrical vessel and cover assemblyincorporating a pressure gauge air pump and valves. Thebase can also be used for unit weight measurement offresh concrete and aggregates. Supplied complete withcalibration set.
The air meter unit consists of 2 main parts: the base(measuring chamber) and the cover assembly. The castaluminum base has machine-fl anged rims. The interiorsurfaces of the base and surfaces of rims, fl anges and othercomponent parts are machined to facilitate frequent waterclean-up. The unit is designed for easy disassemblyin order to replace worn or damaged parts in the fi eld.
The Super Pump is an important part of the Air Meter. Itmust be properly maintained to prevent air leakage. O-ringson the top of the pump and on the inside seal the unit. When the O-rings deteriorate, air can leak into the chamberand or debris can enter the pump.Main technical parameterCodeLA-0316Capacity(L)7Air content range0-10%Accuraracy±0.1%(1%-6% of air content);±0.2%(6%-10% of air content)Dimension(mm)dia.330x500Weight(kg)10
