1. Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose(HPMC)is a non-ionic cellulose ether made from natural polymer cellulose and made up through a series chemical processing. They are the white powder of odorless, tasteless and non-toxic, it can be swelled into clear or slightly muddy colloid solution in cold water. They have properties like thickening, bonding, dispersing, emulsifying, film, suspension, adsorption, gel, surface activity, maintaining water and protective colloid and so on.
