Idler Classification
There are two basic types of belt conveyor idlers:
Carrying idler and Return idler.
Carrying idlers include troughing idler, transition idler, impact idler, self-aligning idler.
Return idlers include flat idler, V type return idler, sleeve idler and spiral idler.Troughing Idlers
Troughing idlers are used to support the belt and carrying bulk,
There are there standard trough angles, 30°,35°, 45°.
There are two types of idler:
Standard and for-word-leaning idler.
The for-word-leaning idler can be arranged along all line of conveyor to prevent belt swaying off center condition.Transition Idlers
Transition idlers are arranged between terminal pulley and common troughing idlers in order to increase the stress at the edge of belt, also prevent splashing of the materials.
based on trough angle, impact idlers are classified into four types,
10°, 20°,30° and adjustable trough angle.Self-aligning Idlers
Self-aligning idlers are used to adjust deviation of the belt automatically.
There are there types of self-aligning idler,
blocking idler, friction idler and taper self-sligning idler.
There are used both carrier and return section.
Layout 1 set per 10 sets at carrier section.
Layout 1 set per 6-10 sets at return section.Flat Return Idlers
This type idler is used to support the belt of return section.V type return idlers
V type return idlers are more and more widely used with the increasing use of heavy, high-tension belts.
There are v-type return idler, v-type return forward leaning idler and interted v -type return idler, etc.
Generally layout 4sets v-type idler and 6sets flat idler each 10 sets flast idler each 10 sets idler at return section.Self-cleaning Return Idlers
It is applied to improve the sticky material on the return section belt and to keep the belt clean.
There are three types of slef-cleaning idler,
flat sleeve return idler, v-type sleeve idler aand spiral idler.
Generally arrange1-2sets spiral return idler and 3-6 sets sleeve return idler at the beginning point of re-turn section.Impact Idlers
Impact troughing idler have roller covered by a resilient material.
They are used at loading points where impact resulting from lump size and weight of the material,
