The nail penetrating test is processed under temperature of 20ºC±5ºC.
3. The specimen battery has thermocouple whose contact spot is located on the largest surface.
4. Place the battery on the fuming cupboard, using stainless nail with diameter of 3-8mm to penetrate the centre position of largest side of battery at speed of 10mm/s-40mm/s and keep for 1 minute.
5. Test result: the battery is qualified without fire and explosion.
