Physical and chemical properties: Orange-red powder or granules. Odorless. Strong hygroscopicity. Light and heat resistant. Stable in citric acid and tartaric acid. Soluble in water, neutral and acidic aqueous solution is orange-yellow, reddish brown when alkaline, soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid to obtain orange solution, diluted with water and yellow. Soluble in glycerin, propylene glycol. Slightly soluble in ethanol.
