Product DescriptionVanconol®amine TOH is a alkyl imidazoline structured organic intermediate with good thermal stability. Unneutralized amine TOH is hydrophobic, soluble in organic solvents, non-polar solvents and mineral oil, but can not be completely dissolved in water. The imidazoline ring structure in the molecule can form ion-bonds with the opposite polarity substances, so that it can be strongly adsorbed on metals, fibers, plastics, glass and mineral surface, forming a dense molecular film structure, the hydrophilic surfaces are converted to the hydrophobic surfaces.Vanconol®amine TOH neutralized as salt, can be stable in acidic conditions, reducing the surface tension of acidic aqueous solution, resulting in pickling solution with good wettability. Neutralized salt provides cationic and dispersing properties, which can be used to modify the surface of powder material and change the surface of powder to hydrophilic or hydrophobic surface through surface adsorption.

Amines have found several applications in rubber processing for which the Vanconol®amine TOH and their salts may be suited. Derivatives have been made for use as retarders for fast curing butyl rubbers to reduce scorching, as curing accelerators in other rubbers, in acid emulsion polymerization, and as softening and plasticizing agents.Antistatic Agents
The neutralized salt or quaternized product of Vanconol®amine TOH are widely used as antistatic agent.
These imidazoline derivatives will form a layer of continuous conducting film on the surface of fiber and
plastic which timely derives static fricative in the producing process of fiber or plastic.Flotation
Vanconol®amine TOH is suggested for use in removing traces of silica from gypsum intended for use in glass ceramics, and for removing silica from low grade iron ores. The hydrochloride of Vanconol®amine TOH has been successfully for separating silica and iron oxide from barite.Paints
Use of Vanconol®amine TOH into paint is known to improve adhesion of paint even to wet surfaces, meanwhile, improving water proof of paint.
In the prodution of water-based paints, Vanconol®amine TOH often shows good dispersion stability due to its strong adsorption on the pigment surface and the ability to form mutually exclusive micelles. based on this characteristic, Vanconol®amine TOH is used as a dispersant for aqueous industrial coatings, pastes and inks.
