GRP Reinforced Fiber Glass FRP Pipe
FRP pipe can be divided into the following types by raw materials used:
1. Process pipe: Be made of unsaturated polyester resin or vinylester resin together with fiberglass;
Usually be used to transport the chemical and corrosion liquid; usually be small;
Above ground or overhead supported.
2. RPMP: Be made of unsaturated polyester resin or vinylester resin together with silicon sand and fiberglass;
Usually be used to transport the potable and waste water; usually be large in diameter even up to 4m;
silicon sand increase the stiffness largely; underground or be used as jacking pipe.
3. Epoxy pipe: be made of epoxy resin together with fiberglass; compared with process pipe or RPMP,
epoxy pipe is featured by high anti-pressure (inner pressure), low contraction percentage,
high mechanical property, etc.; usually be used in oilfield flooding, oil extraction and vessel.
4. Combined pipe: For some more severe conditions that FRP can not resist, plastic materials can be selected
as liner, e.g. PVC, CPVC, PP, PE, PVDF, etc., and then cover FRP outside, which can
improve the mechanical properties.
5. Carbon fiber pipe: be made of unsaturated polyester resin, vinylester resin or epoxy resin together with
carbon fiber; it possesses extremely high strength. Compare with metal, the strength of
carbon fiber is 12 times of that of metal; usually be used in military and spaceflight
industry. The disadvantage is its high cost.
The Filament Winding Potable Water FRP Pipe takes thermosetting resin as base body, take glass fibre and its products as reinforced material.The process of adding silicon sand will adopts the pheumatic control.In addition ,the high frequency vibrator will be used to densify the silicon sand-adding layer,which can large improve the compactness of the silicon sand-adding layer ,as a result,the ring stiffness of pipe will be also improved effectively and at same time,the phenomenon of dry yarn or no yarn will not exist .The usage of silicon sand-adding device and process can not only improve the quality of pipe a lot but also decrease the cost. Under such case,the products will be strongly competitive in the market.
