DEscriptION
The Fascial Closure Device consists of suture device and suture passer. The suture device is composed of base plate, handle, approximation wings, fixation pads and connecting rod, and the finger grip, guide channels and depth groove locate on it.

HOW TO USE ITRemove the suture device and suture passer from the package.Verify that the approximation wings are closed and that the handle is in the locked position. Insert the suture device into the incision site to the location of depth groove.Grasp the suture device and rotate the handle clockwise to the unlocked position, and pull up the handle to deploy the approximation wings, then rotate the handle back to the locked position and keep the the approximation wings in the deployed position.Adjust the depth of suture device properly (Apply gentle traction) to make the approximation wings cling to the abdominal wall.Load one end of the suture strand into the notched portion of the suture passer, and insert the suture passer with suture strand into the guide channels of the suture device, then advance the suture passer through fixation pads. Make sure that the suture strand is fixed, then withdraw the suture passer from the suture device.Repeat the process on the opposite side, load the opposite end of the suture strand into the the notched portion of the suture passer, and insert the suture passer into the other guide channels of the suture device, then fix the suture strand on the other fixation pads and withdraw the suture passer from the suture device.Rotate the handle clockwise back to the unlocked position and press down on the handle until the approximation wings are in the closed position.Rotate the handle anticlockwise to the locked position, then remove it from the incision site and take two ends of suture strand out.Remove two ends of suture strand from the fixation pads and tension them to close the fascia using standard techniques and remove excess material.
