1. Brief introduction of Stainless Steel Plug Valve
Plug valve is plunger shaped rotary valve, through the rotation of 90 degrees to let the channel mouth of the valve plug and the mouth on the valve communicated or separated, to open or close a valve. Plug valve's plug can be shaped to cylindrical or conical. In the cylindrical valve plug, the channel is generally rectangular; and in the conical valve plug, the channel into a ladder. These shapes make the structure lighter, but also produce a certain loss. Plug valve is the most suitable valve for cutting off and switching on the media and the diversion. According to the nature of the application and the erosion resistance of the sealing surface, sometimes it can be used for throttling. Plug valve is a fast switch, because the rotary movement between the sealing surfaces has certain cleaning function, and while in fully open it can completely avoid contacting the fluid medium, so usually it can also be used for medium with suspended particles. Another important feature is that it is easy to adapt to the multi channel structure, so that a valve can get two, three, or even four different channels. This can simplify the design of piping system; reduce the amount of valves and some of the connections needed in the equipment.
